Utilysys board member receives 250,000th crate
May 30, 2016 -
Jan van Aartrijk received the golden 250,000th crate as a tribute when he retired as a board member. He has done a huge amount of work - on behalf of KAVB - for the Utilysys® foundation. Mr Van Aartrijk is the initiator of the plan for a standardised transport packaging for the entire flowerbulb industry. Based on a preliminary investigation, which also involved PPO-Lisse, a plastic folding crate was developed. The organisations cooperated with partners Twinpack BV and Bekuplast GmbH. At the initiative of the branche organizations Anthos and KAVB the Utilysys Foundation was established to coordinate the introduction of this crate in the market. The flowerbulb companies that work with this reusable packaging system are very satisfied with it.
